ABOUT QUEETS CAMPGROUND

Looking for QUIET?  Look no further than Queets, if you can find it!  This river hideaway is rarely a first choice for car-campers or tourists, mainly due to its remoteness and lack of facilities. This does not daunt the RV campers, who likely love this furtive spot for the same reasons.

In its time Queets was likely a world-class fishing spot, and may be again.  Salmon population reduction forced many limitations along with COVID regulations in 2020. Currently all fishing in the ONP is tightly restricted with variations from river to river, and you should always check current regulations AND have your license on-hand before fishing in the park. Game wardens and park rangers are on patrol.

This is a “primitive” campground, with no bathroom structures, electricity, hookups, etc. The Ranger Station was unmanned in Summer 2020. Regarding waste, the park asks us to: “Bury waste 6-8” deep and 200 feet from water sources and campsites. Please pack out toilet paper.”
